Windows 10: Build 10240 Networking STILL BONKERS with Ms accounts

Hi there

I have a really SILLY problem now on build 10240 two computers with Ms accounts -- One Disk NOT shared (deliberately) -- however it is accessible (both READ and WRITE) from another Machine (logged on with Ms account).

In properties the Disk shows as NON shared - yet from another machine I have no trouble in accessing it. No password or anything required.

Grhhhh!!!!! -- Ms don't you have ANYBODY in your company who understands Networking and get it to work properly.

Can't update to build 10240

I can't seem to get build 10240 I'm unsure if this is because it's not currently available or if it's because I can't link my local account to my MS account.

 

Will Windows 10 Preview Insider get Genuine for free???

I'm running Windows 10 Home Build 10240 and it's activated and linked with my MS account I've heard people saying that I will get Windows 10 for Free genuine. Is this true?

 

They USED to have these people but recently lost them.

I re-installed build 10130 on an old laptop to check my path-not-found issue and that saw the shares fine. So, sometime after that things went wonky. Win 8.1 can see those problematic shares as well.

Getting worse as twice today I had to restart to get network back and going! I just don't know where to look. Of course, fiddling with this comp is likely to make things worse.

 

Is all this unwanted traffic going over IPv6? If you limit both machines to IPv4, all they will do is see each other and any SMB shares, surely. Then you need to find out which bits of IPv6 you need to tweak to stop MSA transparency across the network, if possible.
