burning files to an optical disk

I have some 18GB of pictures I want to burn to my Blu Ray drive. I opened the folder where they are stored on my NAS and selected all with Ctrl-A, and then clicked on Send To F:. The computer took about 10 min and then began badgering me with messages that there are files that need to be burned to a disk. I expected burning to take place after the dialog came up asking what type of disk was to be created, but when I try to read the disk that I thought was burned, there's nothing on it. Meanwhile my computer thinks I have a bunch of files to be burned and I can't find a way to cancel that process. How do you abort burning some files? I'm afraid that if I delete them from the screen that shows what will be burned it might delete them from the original folder from which they were copied. Does Windows make a copy of the files to be burned, and work from that when actually burning a DVD?

    :)

  2. Burning Files To cdr

I tried to drag a .txt file to the burn list, as suggested above, but it will not drop in. I get a message "+add to burn list" but I cannot get it to drop into the burn list. Is there another step I am missing?
