What's with these sites I see that are selling Windows 10 download with product key real cheap. Here's an example.
(Not for me. One of my customer's asked)

Windows 10 Install - Blue screen

I had this happen last night as well when trying to "upgrade". I had to cold boot and it automatically reinstalled my Windows 7 Pro, but I'm getting a ton of script errors and invalid dll pop ups so I'm assuming I'm stuck with a little bit of Windows
10 residual. Doing the reboot allowed me to make my machine function again so I can research whether I have to go to a restore point or figure out how to get the upgrade to complete properly.

My window pro 10 is corrupted

When you replace your motherboard you need to buy a new license for Windows 10. If you're looking at a new motherboard, new CPU and new copy of Windows 10, you may as well buy a new computer.

  6. When it's too good (too cheap) to be true it probably isn't.

There is lots of talk online about scammers selling ultra-cheap Windows software.
The software may be workable, but the license keys are not valid.
So you won't be saving $80. You'll be wasting $20.

I don't know anything about the seller you linked to, but once again ... If it's too good to be true it probably isn't.

Pony up the $100 and buy a legitimate copy of Windows.

The forum is full of folks that have bought these keys from sites like that, only for them to be de-activated months later as they are stolen or illegally resold MSDN keys.

  10. Lets see what the video shows.

    1. A Windows 10 key for 1/5 the price.
    2. The key comes from China.
    3. It activates for now until Microsoft runs a auto check on the key a few weeks later and finds out the key you have is counterfeit. It might even take a couple of months for Microsoft to decline your COA key.

The fact that the COA key comes from China should tell you all you need to know.
China makes all kinds of counterfeit anything if they can sell it. It's just the way they do business in China and has been for decades.
Selling counterfeits is a normal way of doing business in China. It's a major part of China's economy.

Paul's Hardware is well respected but I think he shouldn't have made that video. Even on places like Amazon, you have to be careful where you get it from and make sure its the Microsoft seller.

If you want to be really sure, get it from the Microsoft Store.

Fairly clear from comments under the video that the keys are no better than any of the other dodgy ones, anyone can stick a fake Microsoft Partner label on a website.

Paul should stick to hardware... just because it works does not mean it's legit (same goes for those gaming sites)

MS has dug a hole for themselves with digital though..

You can get them dirt cheap off ebay these days. Legitimate digital licence that is linked via outlook email address that I sign in with. I bought win 10 pro for £3.50 and Kaspersky internet security 2018 for £3.79. Worth my money all day is that. All codes accepted and activated. You even get 10 products to protect with the Kaspersky licence, mac, mobile and windows.

  15. Everybody knows that everything one gets off of ebay legitimate *Wink
Then when it turns out to be counterfeit a little while later, the seller is gone.
