Windows 10: bypassing the password screen

I cannot get past the password/login screen to change the password. When I click on reset password, I'm directed to insert a usb with a file to reset the password, but why and how do I do that? Why can't I just be directed to the Windows/startup menu to the control panel and reset the password from there? When I boot up, the enter password screen shows up, but I can't get past it. How do I bypass this screen?

I have Lumia 920 with build 3051.50009.1451.10458.

I found that the lock screen password can be bypassed. Following are the steps

01. Long press camera button to enter camera app directly (this is correct)

02. Now Pressing home bottom goes to start screen ( this is incorrect)

when I directly enter the camera without password. It should not allow access to any other app or start screen unless I enter the password. In above case it should had asked me password when I pressed home button(step 2)

 

Ways to bypass the login theme and signin do not work

Tried setting netplwiz in option 1 step 4 which shows no check in users must enter ..... no bypass of login

Tried step 4 in option 5 below to disable require sign-on on wakeup via policy via registry but still no change on wakeup still getting the screen picture that requires hitting Esc to move to the sign in window which shows a silhouette image, my user name and a sign in button in order to access my desktop screen. Guess I will have to live with the extra steps.

Administrative password bypass

Hi,

I got to the step 3 you suggested. But my computer system doesn't give me an option to enter the password.

it doesn't let me pass that step.
