Windows 10: C: drive folder sharing?

Discus and support C: drive folder sharing? in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; If it was deprecated, why am I able to access my C:/Music Windows share from other Windows PCs over the network?     Hi there

    @Darkstrike

    You don't need a NAS -- same thing will work from standard Linux machines

    just ensure SAMBA is up and running and then access Windows files like I posted. You need SAMBA or NFS -- it's easier using SAMBA.

    I only mentioned NAS because my NAS boxes (X 2) are actually "Micro Servers" running Linux OS (Centos 7.2 -Free open source clone of RHEL - RED HAT Enterprise Linux server). Any machine running Linux (laptop / VM etc etc) will work this way.

    If you have trouble with SAMBA (samba config file) then re-post -- you only need it to ensure shares are OK across the network.

    Starting services nmb (nmbd on some distros) and smb (smbd again on some distros) ensures that the CIF file system service is up and running. Any problems and I ncan probably guide you through the process. Linux Networking usually (almost invariably) works --Windows Networking is where I tear what little hair I have left out and rush for the nearest glass of decent STRONG booze.
