Windows 10: C: is full after latest Windows 10 update

Hello,


I have update my computer with the latest windows 10 update and my C: now reads that I have only 60 GB Free out of 446 GB. The strange thing is that when I go to the root of my C: drive and select all the files and do a properties check to see what the total comes up to it only reads 142 GB, so why does my C: think it has 386 GB used?


Since I have mapped cloud drives like Google drive, One Drive, and Drop box I was thinking that maybe it's counting this space as well but I'm not sure.


I was wondering if anyone else had this issue?

I suggest creating a backup image of your os drive

 

Microsoft to make Windows 10 updates mandatory

Well, at the moment at least, you can choose to defer upgrades. Under Settings > Windows Updates > Advanced options you need to check the box labeled "Defer upgrades". What does that do? Good question. The answer I've found might illuminate it to a degree.

I hear this only applies to Pro and Enterprise editions. But I can't verify that.

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
