Windows 10: CAFR keyboard keep disapearing after windows update

Hi MS,


I am using the FRA / CAFR (Canadian French Keyboard), below but every few days it disapears and I have to reinstall it.






This is very annoying. However, since yesterday the keyboard is gone and no longer in the list of installable keyboard under Settings/Time & Language/Language/Options/Add a keyboard.


HELP! How can I retrieve my keyboard? I am running Windows 10 Pro latest and greatest.

How to remove French CAFR keyboard config

I have my Surface Book 2 setup in English as the Windows and Office language.

OS Build 17134.376. MS Office Build 11001.20074.

I have my keyboard layout as FRA CMS.

Sometimes (well often actually) Windows switches keyboard layout to FRA CAFR.

I do NOT have FRA CAFR installed in my control panel (Advanced Keyboard Settings). Just French CMS and English CMS.

How do I get rid of that damn CAFR keyboard layout ?????

Keyboard problem in Windows 10

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to check if the issue persists when you connect another keyboard to your system.

If the issue is with the keyboard, then suggest you to update the keyboard drivers by following the steps below.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager from the list.
  
• 
  Expand ‘Keyboard’ from the list.
  
• 
  Right click on the driver and select ‘update driver software’ and follow the prompts.
