Windows 10: Camera app USB

I plugged in a new Creative Plug and Play Camera into a USB hub. My old cheap micro camera was still in there as well. It didn't show in the USB eject, so I shut down and pulled it and restarted. Now when I turn on Camera with only the Creative in I still get this error.


Close other apps

It looks like another app is using the camera already,

if you need it the error code is:

0xA00F4288<AllCamerasAreReserved>


I have restarted a couple times and changed USB ports.

Might shut down USB hub and restart again.


Any thoughts?

In most of the cases the device drivers will be listed under its respective category in
Device manager. All the drivers of the devices attached to or mostly will be used on the PC will be listed under
Device manager. The device will not function if the driver of the respective device is not installed on the computer.



Check if the camera drivers are listed in Device manager by following the steps below:

• Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select
  Device manager from the context menu.
• Expand the option where WebCam drivers may be located and check if the drivers are present.
• If present, right click on the driver and select Update this software from the context menu.
• Follow the on-screen instructions and wait for the update to complete.
• After the update is complete, close the window and check if the changes are effective.

Thanks for replying spunk. That's the 'alphabetical' list I was referring to, none of these apps are in that 'All apps' list. Any more suggestions?

Run built in Windows Store Apps troubleshooter

* Press Windows Key then type ‘troubleshoot’ and select the same from the list

* Select “View all” on the left panel and run “Windows Store Apps” troubleshooter from the list

* Click Advanced, ensure to check Apply repairs automatically
and also select Run as administrator

* Click Next and finish the troubleshooting by following the on-screen instructions.
