Windows 10: Camera does not work. Error: 0xA00F4244

and the computer can't find it.


It's giving me the error code 0xA00F4244 <No cameras are attached> Furthermore, when I go into Device Manager, it does show that I do have a USB Video Device, but it can't seem to find a driver for it (and I am pretty sure I have downloaded it as it is called CIF Single Chip and I downloaded the driver. However it doesn't seem to be finding it. What am I doing wrong?

I am also getting an error code 0xA00F4244 and the suggestions do not help, I have no camera listed under device manager under sound, video, and game controllers anymore. Videochat via facebook no longer work and either does the Camera app. I have an MSI
GE272 2QD apache Pro on windows 10 home, version 1709. Please address this problem. Thanks.

Compatibility could be one of the probable reasons why you have this error. What I can suggest is for you try and run the hardware troubleshooter. You can follow the steps below:

• Click the magnifying glass icon beside the Windows start menu.
• Type Troubleshooting.
• Select Hardware and Sound.
• Click Hardware and Devices from the options list.
• Click Next to run the Hardware and Device Troubleshooter.
