Windows 10: Camera error code 0xA00F244 (no cameras attached), can't find driver on surface go.

Tried to open my camera, but it didn't work and came up with that error code. tried to re-install the driver but couldn't find it in the device manager.

Hello community, I am hoping someone can help me. The code above is the error code I am receiving off my camera, apparently my camera driver has an issue. Problem for me is I have searched and searched and cannot find the camera driver ANYWHERE. Which means
I cannot update it, I cannot do a rollback. nor can I uninstall it because it just isn't there. If anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

Hi, I had this issue pop up randomly when I tried to open my web cam/camera in Windows 10 on a Lenovo idea pad.

It's not from antivirus because I just used the camera two weeks ago.

The help button/article also tells you to find the driver and re-install it or update it. The driver isn't even in my list of drivers, so I don't know where to go from here.

Is there somewhere where I can re-download the driver?

 

Change the camera that the Windows 10 camera app uses.

Unintuitively, the icon in the upper left that looks like it's meant to switch between your front and back camera will also cycle through your other attached cameras. At least, this worked for me on a Surface Pro 4 (front and rear camera) with a USB Microsoft LifeCam attached. The Camera application's version is listed as 2018.227.30.1000.
