Windows 10: Camera not recognized

Some time in the last 10 days, Windows 10 stopped recognizing my Canon camera. I connect the camera to the PC with a USB cable when I wish to upload new pictures. Now, however, when I connect the camera and turn it on, the camera displays "Communication error". When I open the Windows 10 Camera app (with the camera connected and turned on), the PC displays a device not found message with error code 0XA00F4244. When I check settings, it shows that camera access is "on". When I check devices and drives, it does not see an attached device. I've tried using other USB drives and other USB cables, but the problem persists, even on ports that work with other media (memory sticks, printer, mouse, etc.) I have uninstalled and reinstalled my camera driver software several times. Any suggestions where to go from here?

Thanks for providing the results after completing the steps we provided. Since you're still getting the error message “Your camera cannot be found” along with the error code "0xA00F4244 (0xC00DABED)", we suggest that you follow the steps below
to reset the Camera app on your Windows 10 computer:

• Press the Windows Key + I to open the Settings app.
• From the options presented select System, then click on
  Apps & features located on the left pane.
• Locate the Camera app from the list and select it.
• Select the Advanced options link and then choose Reset.
• When the pop-up notification is shown just click on the Reset
  button once more.
• Once all the steps are complete, kindly reboot your computer.

Completing this steps will clear the cache of the Camera app and allow it to re-recognize any video capture devices connected to your computer.

My built in camera doens't be recognized by windows 10 camera app

windows does not recognize my Sony digital camera

I've had the camera for a while and downloaded pictures recently, but now when I tried to download it does not recognize that the camera is attached the computer. The photo transfer does not being automatically as it usually does, and when I start
the Photo Gallery and select the option to import pictures from my camera, there is no camera on the list, even when the camera is on and plugged in.

I have tried all of the suggestions in the support community but nothing works. also when I locate the device in the control panel and click on properties it freezes up.
