Windows 10: Camera not recording audio in Windows 10

When I record a video using my laptop cam and play it back there is no audio. It seems to work just fine when I am in a Zoom meeting and I have run the troubleshooters with no success. Can you help?

From what you have mentioned, I would suggest you to try these steps to see if it resolves the issue

Method 1: Hardware Troubleshoot

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with recording. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your recording.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select
  Control panel
• Change the view by option on the top right to
  Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the
  view all option on the left panel
• Run the Recording Audio troubleshooter

I suggest you to install all the latest audio and Display drivers from the manufacturer web site and install.

Audio Recording

Hi rakeshmaheshwari,

Lots of good apps if you want to perform an audio recording, including OneNote. However, if it is a long speech, I'd suggest breaking it up into smaller recording segments.

Otherwise, you can search the Windows Phone store for
Audio Recording apps.

Another suggestion would be to video record it using the built-in Windows Phone camera.
