Windows 10: Camera SPCA2082 does not work. The recommended driver Version 10.0.19041.488, date...

The Camera SPCA2082 in my just from second-hand bought acer Aspire E1-772G does not work.


The best driver as properties-window of device-manager says - version 10.0.19041.488, date 21.06.2006 is not the right one. The error code is "0xA00F4292<PhotoCaptureStartTimeout>".


Does someone know, what the right driver for this cam is and where I can find it ?

We understand the concern as you are unable to use the integrated webcam. There could be a possibility that the
device driver not installed or out of date or the installed driver failed.
In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the model number of the Lenovo Desktop?
  
• Is Lenovo Vantage utility app installed on the PC?
  

• Are you aware of any changes on the PC prior to this issue?

Let us try few steps.

Step 1: Check Camera Settings.

1. Press Windows + I key to open Windows Settings.
   
2. Click on Privacy and select Camera from the left pane.
   
3. Click on Change check if it is toggled to On.
   
4. Also toggle the switch to On under Allow apps to access your camera
   

Step 2:Update Webcam driver.

We would suggest you to update the Webcam driver from Device Manager. Please refer this article to update the driver:

If the behavior persists, I suggest you follow the steps in the article below and see if it solves the problem:

Windows Camera app no longer works


On my ASUS G74SX-3DE Notebook, Windows Camera no longer works after the app update(s) recently.

It would start up with:




I have no idea who makes the camera for the device and ASUS doesn't provide Windows 10 drivers except the camera works fine with other apps.

Windows installs a driver with the device listed as:
USB2.0 UVC 1M WebCam
in device manager with driver version 10.0.10240.16384 and the date

USB\VID_13D3&PID_5134&MI_00
USB\VID_13D3&PID_5134&REV_0725&MI_00

is the device ID's
