Windows 10: Campus Wifi "Can't connect to this network" error message

When I try to connect to campus wifi, it comes up with "Continue connecting? If you expect to find WIFI NAME in this location, go ahead and connect...etc etc etc". It is a laptop problem and not a username problem since I have tried to connect with a friend's username and it still didn't work.

I have tried to forget network, uninstall network adapter, and I can connect to the network with a USB Network Adapter but the adapter belongs to someone else so I hope to be able to fix this and connect to the network with just my laptop.

Laptop unable to automatically connect to university wifi

Go see the campus IT gods that handle student network issues. They are there for a reason and may have to redo the setup to allow your unit to connect to the campus network if there was something they had to do before.

Also they can lock out a computer that flags on the system as an issue, and again go see the IT gods on campus.

 

"Can't connect to this network."


I just bought a wifi card for my windows 10 desktop (a tp-link archer t8e) and cannot connect to my network.

I have the wifi icon on the tray, I can get a list of available networks but after entering the wpa key for my network it just shows the message "Can't connect to this network."

Network diagnosis just suggested connecting to a wifi network (why didn't I think of that...), does anyone here have any clue as to what the problem could be?

UPDATE: Just noticed that the wifi adapter is being disabled briefly just after I enter the network password, no idea what's going on.

Since you are using the campus WI-FI connection and it is maintained by administrator I suggest you to contact your campus administrator regarding your login issue and also check whether your login id and password is correct.
