Windows 10: Can anyone tell me how to completely disable the notification "Your organization requires...

I figured it would be straightforward, but I do not see any setting to fully disable this prompt. Everything in local policy (Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update) says disabling the policies will just set notifications to default. I found some sites saying to add a key value called RestartNotificationsAllowed2 in HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UX\Settings and setting that to "0", but that does not appear to disable this prompt specifically.

Additionally, I see a value in that same location called "ReadyToRebootReminderShown" which is set to "1", but absolutely no documentation on that. Any ideas friends?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

 

Cannot receive any notification from action center, "Some settings are managed by your organization." is keeping display on Settings > Notifications & Actions

Let's get this sorted out. We suggest you follow these steps:

• Press Windows key + X.
• Choose Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type sfc<space>/scannow and press Enter.
• Once the scan is complete, restart your computer.

Check you can go to Notifications & actions to enable/disable the settings.
