    Can I have the old Start Menu layout with the power button directly over the button?


    The feature I use most in the Start Menu is shutting down or locking my computer. It was very convenient when this option was directly above the Start Menu button. Now that it has been moved to the right, it's very annoying to use. Is there any way to revert the Start Menu layout to how it has always been in Windows systems?

    Start Button displaying but not working


    The start button was working until there was a forced reboot (power failure). Then left click (normal click) over the start button does absolutely nothing. Right click brings up a menu but "programs" and also "settings" are missing and not included on this list. Search or Task View buttons do not work either with "normal" click. Does anyone have any suggestion or fixes?

    My start menu power button doesn't appear and this is a windows 10 new computer and my start menu power button doesn't show anything or even shut down or hibernate or sleep.

    Hello Janeo, and welcome to Ten Forums. *Smile

    The power button in the Start menu will now only open a menu to select which action you want to perform. Because of this, there is no default action for the Start power button anymore in Windows 10.

    If you like, you can still change the default action for the case power button.
