    Can I map a Chinese Keyboard if I am using an Arabic keyboard?


    Hi All,A user from my network received a new Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon laptop with the Arabic keyboard distribution. As you can see in the picture belowSince the user is Asian, she is trying to use her mother tongue to typing on this laptop. I have tried several times to change the language input method, but it resulted in the following error see image below.As she started to write, the computer randomly placed a dot within the characters.My question is: Is it possible to map a Chinese keyboard in the Arabic keyboard? Will be the set of characters a problem for doing this? Do you guys have

    Typing in Arabic On E71 With Arabic Keyboard

    Hi, I have E71 with arabic Keyboard in addition to English.

    1- Some of the English keys are incorrectly mapped like the "." which is written when i press ":" ...

    Any clue to fix this?

    2- How can I acces the arabic keys? when in sms and choose writing language arabic is not diaplyed, but italian...

    how can i add arabic to list and how to access the arabic keys?

    in office dicitionary, i have arabic in the listm but can't type arabic.

    when will microsoft support arabic keyboard in wp7.8 on mozart

    The 7.8 update included some font enhancements for both Chinese and Arabic as listed on

    this page    . There are also a number of
    free Arabic keyboard apps available     that may suit your needs.

    Arabic keyboard missing characters

    The Arabic keyboard in WP8 is missing quite a few characters which renders it useless. In older versions, the missing characters were available through pressing the shift key but the latter is not available in WP8 while in the Arabic keyboard.



    The list of missing characters are:

    • Arabic Letter Yeh with Hamza Above
    • Arabic Letter Alef with Hamza Above
    • Arabic Letter Alef with Hamza Below
    • Arabic Letter Alef with Madda Above
    • Arabic Letter Hamza Isolated Form
    • Arabic Letter Waw with Hamza Above
    • All Diacritics are missing.
    I hope you have plans to fix this serious issue. It's extremely annoying.
