Windows 10: Can I mix 2x4GB ram with 2x8GB ram for a total of 24GB?

Discus and support Can I mix 2x4GB ram with 2x8GB ram for a total of 24GB? in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; I currently have 2x4GB DDR3 ram @1600MHz and I'm planning to insert 2x8GB DDR3 advertised as 1866MHz, but pretty sure it's actually 1600 being capable...     Can I mix 2x4GB ram with 2x8GB ram for a total of 24GB?


    I currently have 2x4GB DDR3 ram @1600MHz and I'm planning to insert 2x8GB DDR3 advertised as 1866MHz, but pretty sure it's actually 1600 being capable of 1866 using X.M.P.

    Will I be fine using both of these types and running both on 1866MHz using X.M.P?

    RAM - Missing 2GB of active RAM

    So I am running Win10 Home 64-bit. Recently noticed that of the 16gb ram installed (4x4) only 14gb shows up in windows.

    So I bought 2x8gb sticks to upgrade - now have 24gb (2x4 and 2x8) but again only 22gb is showing up in windows.

    I have cheeked the BIOS says that I should have 24gb. Tried all the normal msconfig boot suggestions. No on board gpu taking the

    ram. I am at a loss.

    Which of these motherboards for 24GB 1600Mhz RAM???

    Are you also suggesting that I go with the Rampage Extreme?

    Hello,

    I have a 64 bit pc with an Intel i7-930 cpu with 16gb of Rip jaw ram (2x8gb stick), and is running Windows 10 pro. Of the 16gb of ram installed, my system information only shows that I have 4gb of ram installed. I have read numeral forums online and tried
    everything such as cleaning the ram and making sure my motherboard can support that amount of ram. (It supports 24gb)

    Is there anyway I can fix this problem?
