    Then you will have to create a DVD from Kyhi's ISO file that you downloaded. Once you boot the computer from that DVD, if you need to reinstall Windows 10 you can remove Kyhi's DVD (don't turn off the computer), insert the Windows 10 DVD and run setup.exe from it.

    One more question, is the Windows version in the first link (Win14393PESE_x64 ISO v170116) is that the same as the one in the second link? (Access Denied)

    The issue was that I originally went to this second link, but since I'm in my guest account, it won't let me execute the exe file (at first I need an exe tool which is supposed to help me download the Windows iso). So that's why I have to use a direct link, such as the first one. I was confused there.

    No. Win14393PESE_x64 ISO v170116 is Kyhi's Recovery Tools which has a bunch of utility programs to help you recover data from your computer or get your computer working again.

    Download Windows 10
    Just gets you the tool to create a standard Windows 10 installation USB flash drive or ISO file to burn a DVD from that will only install standard Windows 10.

    Right, that makes sense. I had assumed the only way I could recover my files was to have a Windows 10 installation DVD (as I mentioned I run W10 but have only W7 installation because I bought my pc several years ago). But looking at your original reply, I do note that you recommend to make a DVD of each, W10 and the recovery tools one. But you do say that the recovery one will be the safest to help transfer the files. So I'll make that one first.

    two questions:
    1. So you're sure that would work even if I'm not able to login to my admin account (I am using my guest account on my PC), to be able to transfer my files from both accounts to my external HD? Or do I need admin previliges for that to work? Obviously I have to make it here in my guest account on my pc though if you think that will not work, I can try to contact someone and use their PC to download/burn that DVD. The person I know, though, uses W7 on their PC (but they have admin privileges).
    2. Is that link safe, no viruses or technical problems with that recovery tool?

    You will have administrator privileges when you boot from Kyhi's recovery tools.

    Do you think that a member of this forum with over 7,000 posts would recommend it to you if it wasn't safe? Do you think it would be a sticky post on this forum from October 2015 if it wasn't safe? If it was a virus, do you think we would tell you that it was a virus after we are recommending that you use it?

    Seeing how the links you provided are for flash drives and as I mentioned I don't have one that has more than one gig, I need to use DVDs. Question is are there special instructions for making the DVDs too or simply burn the iso file and that's it?

    In Windows 10 and Windows 8 (I believe), you right click on the ISO file and select Burn Image. In Windows 7 you need to use a program like IMGBurn.
