Windows 10: Can I Upgrade from Enterprise 32 bit to 64 bit on recent purchase

Both.

Getting Windows 10 Pro installed and activated has nothing to do with getting Windows 10 Enterprise. It, as has been told to you multiple times can only be licensed through volume licensing, even when upgraded from a lesser edition of Windows 10.

You mention Dell D830 as laptop model in your system specs. That's an almost 10 years old model which came shipped with Windows XP and later on with Windows Vista; if the COA sticker on laptop is still readable or the seller could find its information, you might get lucky and get an OEM product key for either XP or Vista. Upgrading either of them to Windows 7, 8, 8.1 or 10 would require a paid for upgrade license.

However, that does not help you in any way to get free Windows 10. If you want a legal and valid, activated operating system on that laptop you have to buy one. Whatever OS you'll buy, remember this: if an eBay seller gives it to you with a nice low price, you will most probably end up as you started, with a counterfeit OS which might or might not work and activate. Those $10 Windows 7 or $25 Windows 10 licenses are not valid.

 

If you can prove that the seller advertised the laptop for sale with Windows 10 provided then you will have to take the seller to court and get your money back for Windows 10. Full retail price. Your copy of Windows 10 is illegal for you to use. PERIOD. The EULA that the previous user agreed to for Windows 10 Enterprise has no provision in it for them to sell it. Both the Pro and Home Windows 10 EULAs have provisions for you to sell it.

 

Thank you, it was my oversight for not knowing what the EULA stated , or didn't have a clause for, for the transfer of license I was buying with the computer.

Yes I have the ad stating that it included the W10 Enterprise OS and the seller states he included a legal working OS that is still valid...

I just wish that MS would have some proof source or at least make it more clear for W10 Enterprise and Education version users in regards to selling the license with a computer...

You may use the backup copy we allow you to make or the media that the software came on to transfer the software.
