I've been meaning to figure this out as i was figuring there might be some someone on here that has a clever idea of how i could get around to doing this (or at least making it easier)

Basically i'd like to open a number of different Windows Explorer instances, arrange them according to whatever works for my current purpose, and then save this somehow (includ ing the column, sort and view settings per instance/folder).

For instance, at this moment specifically i'm using 9 different Windows Explorer instances to quickly sort a bunch (4000) of audio-samples, and having the Explorer windows arranged in a proper fashion is a huge benefactor in doing this properly.

I find myself in similar situations quite often, as i'm involved in a lot of different projects (video editing, music production, photographing, teaching, graphic design to name a few) that all require large numbers of files. Getting those sorted in a good folder structure is essential to the flow of my work.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
