  1. Can no longer import photos by date taken

I HAD been able to import photos by date taken so that they would import into folders by date, but somewhere along the way, I was no longer able to do that. When I'd hook my camera to the pc, it would import them to the pictures folder - but not by date. I shifted to simply using the memory card rather than connecting the camera via usb, and that seemed to work for a while. But that doesn't work either anymore. It's super frustrating. I take a lot of photos and can't always put them on the computer each day, so the organization becomes a nightmare.

When I connect the camera, I get a popup window Microsoft Photos that prompts me to import to the Pictures folder. I can change the destination to a different folder, but I don't see any way to have the computer import them by date taken.

Any help would be hugely appreciated! Thank you.

How to organize photos by Date Taken AND Date Modified

    Hi.

I have over 2000 photos on a jump drive that I have imported over the past 5 years. I'm trying to organize them by chronological order with "Date Modified" but there was a glitch and about 200 photos all have the same date when they were taken in a span
of 4 months. I tried organizing them by "Date Taken" but screenshot photos don't have a "Date Taken" timestamp. Is there a way I can organize photos by "Date Taken" AND organize photos by "Date Modified" (if they don't have "Date Taken.")

Any other suggestions or third party programs that converts the "Date Taken" TO "Date Modified"????

Let me know if this isn't clear!

    Thanks.

    Rachel

Date photo taken - HTC HD7

Is there any way I can view the date a photo was taken in my camera roll album on my HTC HD, as it used to show this when I imported them to my computer using Zune, but now it only adds the date of import to the photo as the date it was taken. Plus my
USB cable needs replacing so having trouble importing them. Is there a way I can just see what date the pic was taken on the phone itself? I know you can sort the album by month pics were taken but I would like to know the specific day

    Any help appreciated

    Thanks

  4. Can no longer import photos by date taken

Importing photos into folders grouped by DATE taken, not TIME taken

When importing photos via the Import Picture and Videos feature, there is a slider to adjust the groupings of the photos.

My issue is, there does not seem to be a way for the images to be grouped by DATE taken only, rather than by a time range.

    For example:

    1) Photo on 21 October at 9pm.

    2) Photo on 22 October at 8:30pm.

I want 1) to be placed in one folder for 21 October and 2) to be in another folder for 22 October. However, because less than 24 hours passed between the 2 photos, they are placed in the same folder, even if adjust the grouping to 1 day.
Is there any way to fix this?
