Windows 10: Can not reset my laptop to factory settings

I need to reset my laptop to factory settings because it is running very slow and such. But have tried about 10 times now to reset it and it won't. It keeps telling me "There was a problem with resetting your PC". I have tried the system repair and it couldn't do that either.

Nothing I do helps. I do not have a disk drive or anything so i cant reinstall that way. I do not have a USB stick bigger than 4gb so cant us that and plus it has very important stuff on i can not delete.


Please elp me! I really would rather avoid having to buy a whole new windows 10 id.

I use windows 10 home.

I have in past reset it to factory settings without issue so i have no idea why now i get it.

also mcafee keeps telling me it has blocked a virus and im good but i dunno why it keeps telling me.

Reset Acer Travelmate to factory settings

Hi all, I have an Acer Travelmate with Win10 (1607), I would like to save Win 10 to a stick, then reset the laptop back to factory settings and then reinstall Win10. There is no program on the laptop that requires saving. Any advice or suggestions, not to technical, would be very much appreciated, thanks Roy

 

How to factory reset Cisco 1700 Router

Hopefully I can help you here....its a very common thing to happen.


First, I take it you dont know the passwords for console access or telnet/ssh?

I will assume that these devices belong to you.

step 1. Plug a cisco console cable into a serial port on your pc
step 2. Plug other end into Cisco console port
step 3. Using hyperterm or putty or similar connect to the serial port
step 4. boot router, and make sure you clearly can see the output (this confirms you have good serial comms)
step 5. if this fails, adjust the comm port settings (9600, 8,1,n are the default)
step 6. now you have to do the only hard part...send the break command:

Break command list: Break Commands

Go down the list and match your OS and SW and try the sequence suggested.

If this fails several times do what I do: Install putty (free) and then to send a break so you can get into rommom just hit "ctrl-a b".
