Windows 10: Can open most of my app after a power surge. I'm getting a Kernel.appcore.dll erreur

Hi,


Hope you guys are well. I'm having trouble opening many of my software and apps after my computer restarted due to a powersurge. I get the following error message:

Rough translation:

The entrance point of procedure

GetExtensionApplicationUserModelId can't be found in the folder for dynamic links

C:/WINDOWS/System32/kernel.appcore.dll



After looking at a couple post in your forums, I've tried runnning the sfc /scannow command. It did find and correct some corrupted files but that didn't fix my issues. I also tried the regsvr32 KERNELBASE.dll command but that gave me an error messages saying :

The module "KERNELBASE.dll" has been charged, but the entrance point DIIRegisterServer can't be found. Verify that "KERNELBASE.dll" is a DLL or OCX valide file, and retry.


I'll continu looking at forums but It seems to me that everyone seems to have a sligtly different solutions everytime.

Kernel-Power event id 41. BugcheckCode 0

In-order to get more clarity on this issue and to assist you with appropriate troubleshooting steps, reply with answers to the below questions:

1. Are you aware of any changes made on your PC, prior to this issue?
   
2. Is this issue specific while playing a particular game?
   
3. Which edition of Windows are you currently using?
   

A Kernel Power Event 41 can occur in the following scenarios.

Scenario 1: The computer restarts, and there is a Stop error BugcheckCode in the event data.

Scenario 2: The computer is shut down by pressing and holding the power button.

Scenario 3: The system randomly restarts and no Stop error BugcheckCode is listed, or the computer is completely unresponsive (hard hang).

I suggest you refer the article on Kernel
Power Event ID 41 and follow the steps for the scenario that is causing this error on your PC.

Additionally, you can refer the article on Windows
Kernel event ID 41 error "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first" in Windows
and check if that helps.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
