Windows 10: Can search but cannot directly type in windows search bar

Hi there,I have read and tried every solution to fix the inability to search in windows. Nothing worked. As I was trying every suggestion I found that I can search but only typing text somewhere and then pasting it in the windows search bar! Also, I would like to mention that when I look for the SearchUI.exe under the Details tab in the Task Manager it is missing. I tried to add a new user account but still the problem is not fixed. I cannot directly use the search feature in windows not only in the search bar but everywhere, in the settings search, file explorer, and search bar.Any idea what

If you meant the Cortana search bar, review the suggested solutions on these threads:

• Can't type in Windows 10 search bar.
• Can't type anything in Win 10 Apps (Cortana, Search, Calculator, Feedback, etc.)

IE11 Google Toolbar no auto search suggestions, no search history?

Since the last Win 10 update my Google Toolbar won't list any search suggestions as I type and there is no search history listed. The Google tool bar will allow a search, but after a few searches no search history shows and no "clear search" button is listed either.

I have turnd on "Suggest searches as you type", and "store search histroy on my computer" in the Google Toolbar options.

Any suggestions to fix this?

We would like to know more information regarding your concern so that we will know why the search bar is not working. Have you recently made any changes/updates prior to this issue?

Did you run the troubleshooter to rebuild the indexing? If not, I would suggest that you run the troubleshooter to fix common indexing issue. You can run the troubleshooter by performing these steps:

• Press the Windows key on your keyboard and type
  Troubleshoot.
• Choose Troubleshoot in the results.
• Under Find and fix other problems highlight
  Search and Indexing then click Run the troubleshooter.
