Windows 10: can someone tell me how to play a dvd on this computer

I need help understanding how to play a dvd on the computer I have done it before and have obviously forgotten hoe to do so

dvd will not play on Windows 10

DVD won't play

• The screen tells me "Can't play this file".
• I have tried 2 different DVD's with no success, the second one didn't even display the multi-linguistic "warning" messages.
• I was not able to do the "uninstall" because I could not find it on my list of programs which are currently installed on my laptop. (What name would it be under if not '10 Player'?) I even checked dates on recently installed and came up with ZIP!
• What 'troubleshooting' steps can I take?

My husband has Windows 10 on his computer and he has something entitled "Media Suites" which is not on my computer. He has NO PROBLEM watching his DVDs.

PLEASE HELP me!!
