Windows 10: can you please help me?? sounds is broken since latest windows update

I avoid windows updates because im scared its gonna mess up my pc and fears were confirmed today when i foolishly downloaded a update that broke my sound. first my mic wouldn't recognize and then everything has a fuzziness behind and certain sounds are cut completely i switched to spatial sound witch helped with the cut out sounds but made everything sounds like it was in a tin can and is significantly quieter my audio was perfect before what did you do???
