    Can you prevent a windows 10 update?


    Is there a way to prevent an update from happening for windows 10, specifically version 1903? About two months ago, I tried updating windows 10 was at an old version for a while, thinking it would improve my computer's performance. After the stressful process, it seemed to weigh my computer down even more. Ever since, seemingly unpreventable updates have continually been brought up. I think my laptop's nearing the end of it's life, and I don't want it to completely fail due to some update that won't help my problem at all. Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

    Microsoft to make Windows 10 updates mandatory

    Well, at the moment at least, you can choose to defer upgrades. Under Settings > Windows Updates > Advanced options you need to check the box labeled "Defer upgrades". What does that do? Good question. The answer I've found might illuminate it to a degree.

    I hear this only applies to Pro and Enterprise editions. But I can't verify that.

    Creative X-Fi Soundcards and Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709 = Complete Disaster / Not Working

    Thank you for trying to help , i did tried your suggestion but it did not work :/ , nothing seems to make it work on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709. In the meantime i have bought a new SoundBlasterX AE-5 and it did installed flawlessly , no problems whatsoever. it is up to Creative ( drivers ) and Microsoft ( bug fix ) to fix this huge bugs with Audio.
