Windows 10: Candy Crush Apps and Others

Hello,


Five of the default Windows 10 1709 apps have the choice to uninstall, but they just keep coming back. The apps are: Candy Crush Saga, Candy Crush Friends Saga, Microsoft News, Solitaire, and Spotify Music. Like I said, if I right click on these apps they have "uninstall" as an option - but like I also said they keep re-installing.


I've spent hours on the internet looking for the solution. Microsoft - why do you have an uninstall option for these apps if they don't uninstall?


Has anyone out there solved this problem? I'm ex-IBM so I have no problem with the registry, command line, Powershell, or file/folder/registry entry permissions.


Normally I won't ask fr help but this one has me stumped. I'd also like to get the Windows Defender icon that overlays file icons.

• Can you still access your other applications?

Candy Crush Saga

I have administrator account on my mothers HP computer. She can access and open both candy crush and candy soda crush to play with no issues.

I can only access candy soda crush to play.

When I attempt to open candy crush nothing at all happens. I have tried making a new account, no change. I have run the trouble shooter, finds nothing. I have the icon in the apps but it appears to not really be there. No uninstall option appears like it
does for candy crush soda.

Any suggestions. I am not very computer literate
