How do you get to the games? When I click on Games it takes to Xbox stuff, not what I want.

Edit: Never mind, found them under Microsoft Solitaire Collection of all places *Smile

You do not need to pay a cent to play CC. You CAN buy things to make the game easier. Thats all a choice.

    Less drama. More facts.

Depends, unless it has changed since I last played it (over a year ago)

When you complete a section, you can ask your facebook friends to unlock the next area for you, doing this it is totally free
If you don't have facebook friends to help you, then you need to pay to unlock the next area

there are other in app purchases to make the game easier, but these are all optional

@paulsalter & @enoch1138 are you both saying the same thing but just wording it differently?

I thought once you win a level, you go to the next level and it automatic unlocks that level and you get a code. That game looks a lot like frozen bubbles.

  6. once you win a level you go to the next one for free

however once you get to a new section of levels (every twenty or so) you need to ask your facebook friends for help unlocking it, after I think its 5 friends help you, the next section is then free
this continues throughout the game making it free

If you don't have facebook friends playing it, or that don't want to help out unlocking the next section, then you have to pay to unlock it

If you don't use facebook at all, you need to pay after each section to unlock the next

This was how it was when I last played over a year ago, if things have changed I do not know

I assume if it is going to be on Windows 10, then you might get more levels for free but who knows

If it's on windows installed it should be all free, otherwise it's bloatware/bundleware and they are ro proud of their new reinstaller with the tiny footprint that get's rid of bundleware from OEMs.

    Ok that said, from WIKIPEDIA:

  9. Can only hope, it's the same with all games from this developer, free if tied into FB, pay otherwise

  10. For me it's a DUP (definitely unwanted program). And anything that links into FB and gets all those annoying game notifications on your profile is a PDUP (positively definitely unwanted program).

Games are easy to uninstall. It'll take 1 click.

    Talk about tin-foil hats.

The vast majority of modern casual games involve either in-app purchases or social integration, or both. It not a big deal. Windows 10 already has Solitaire bundled. What's the difference?

I have no interest in playing CC, but I'm not going to cry about it like a little girl either.

    Such a non-issue.

People just want to find things to get upset about.

You really don't understand do you?

What's being discussed is, about a 3rd party program not from Microsoft, that will be bundled with the OS. It's not really about a new pay to play game from Microsoft. How much control will Microsoft have over the game(meaning protection it's customers)said game updates.

If Microsoft doesn't execute total control over it, it's could be a security risk for people who don't know better(a hole in the firewall) with the Crackbook tracking. I personally don't play games, specially monotonous ones, but also this increases the ISO download and the upgrade through Windows update size, and for people with a metered connection that's not good either.
