    I have a lenovo laptop G580 with windows 8 I just bought at a yardsale today lady said it turns on well it does and it says. Harddisk Security. SATA Port O. WDC. WD7500BPKX-OOHPaJLock can anyone tell me how to bypass this password please

    Sounds like you are the recipient of stolen goods. All of our work laptops have this feature where it locks the BIOS and hard disk remotely if stolen, misplaced, or after a certain number of failed access attempts to the data on the disk without the TPM key.

    I would suggest returning it to wherever you bought or got it.

    I will try that... do you think I have complete access to replace the monitor cable without dismantling the laptop from step 1? *Eek! Cannot access disk on second hand laptop :eek:
