  1. Cannot access networked PC's

We have about 4 PC's/laptops running windows 10 and 4 Computers which act as servers but are running windows 7 pro. The servers have shared folders on them which either other servers or the PC's need to get at. This has worked fine for years until the other day and now its very hit and miss.

All the PC's and servers list all the networked computers in File Explorer under Network. Click on any of them to see the shares and I get an error message

    Cannot access networked PC's b5297ea6-a072-4cd0-a2b8-908003acb951?upload=true.jpg

I can ping any computer by its IP address or by its hostname.

The weird thing is is that some computers can browse some computers but not others. But other computers can browse the ones that this one cannot.

I have tried resetting the network adapter settings with netsh reset winsock

I have set netbios over TCP/IP in the network adapter settings

    Network Discovery is enabled

    File sharing is enabled

I have found some solutions on the Internet which say delete some registry keys at HKLM\software\microsoft\MSlicencing and delete the hardware and store keys.

None of this makes any difference. Anybody got any further ideas?

    Many thanks

    Mark

One computer cannot access other network computers.

So I've tried every troubleshooting step I know:
    • Double checked that Net Bios was enabled
    • Ran a bunch of network commands:
      • flushed DNS
      • registered dns
      • pinged and located the named computers successfully
    • Reset my router to factory settings

Nothing works when I try to access via explorer. I'm still baffled by the fact that every other computer can access each other AND access this computer. It's just the outgoing connection from this machine that doesn't work.

    Any thoughts?

  3. Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
    Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

    1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
    2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
    3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.
    Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
    3. Select add someone else on this PC.
    4. Enter a user name and hit next.
    5. Click on Finish.
    6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
    Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
