Windows 10: Cannot access Private Use Characters in character map

Hi there. I just bought a new Lenovo ideapad flex5 and am having an issue with the character map.


I purchased fonts and after downloading them to my computer, the glyphs / private use characters are not showing up in character map.


I've used these fonts before on other computers, so i know there are glyphs available, they just won't show up in the map.


I've viewed under Unicode > subrange private use and nothing.


Can someone please help me figure this out? It's driving me crazy!

Windows Character Map Private Characters

How do I insert a private character (made using the Private Character Editor) into a document? The Character Map instructions are not helpful as they only work with the special characters already contained in the map.

Problem Accessing Private Use Characters from character map in Windows 10

I am trying to access PUA encoded fonts that I purchased. When I try to access the glyphs from the character map using private use the characters disappear. Any help is greatly appreciated.
