Cannot boot into Windows 10 after trying to update to 1809, storahci.sys causing BSOD...

    Hello!

Since yesterday I've spent countless hours trying to fix BSOD 0xc0000102 and none so far worked.

It seems that with my current hardware configuration the Microsoft AHCI driver storahci.sys is causing the problem. Every thread I find regarding this issue seems to suggest to replace the AHCI with the appropiate chipset version, in my case the AMD AHCI drivers.

However, I cannot access the device manager since I cannot boot into Windows 10 anymore, even trying to boot through safe mode causes above BSOD.

I created a USB boot drive using the Media Creation Tool and tried running a few command prompts, among the usual stuff suggested everywhere:

    sfc /scannow

    chkdsk /r

various bootrecord fixes, tried all of them. fixboot gave me an "Access denied", rest gave no errors.

trying to access restore points through Windows PE didn't work, either saying it couldn't find one or giving an error message.

I made sure there is no faulty hardware as best as I could, disabling AHCI and running legacy IDE or RAID instead in BIOS didn't help, still same BSOD.

Is there any way to update or replace the installed AHCI driver through the Windows PE command prompt?

I read there are DISM commands I could use to replace drivers but I don't really know how to go about it.

I fear that if I do a format and clean Windows 10 install, I would run into the same BSOD when updating to 1809 again, so that's not an option for now.

    Thanks for reading!

    :)

  3. wdf01000.sys and ntoskrnl.exe BSOD

    I'm on Windows 10, 64bit

Basically, whenever I try to update my LPC controller through Device Manager, BSOD with WDF_VIOLATION occurs (culprit being wdf01000.sys)

So I try to use the driver verifier to see which driver is causing the BSOD, but then it causes BSOD (cultprit being ntoskrnl.exe)

Have no idea which driver is causing them

    Please help!

Here are my list of drivers and system info: Documents
