Windows 10: Cannot buy Robux with Microsoft Account Money

I attempted to purchase Robux for my son to use when he plays Roblox on PC. The prompt indicated I had to approve from my account but then said I needed to add money to my sons's child MS account. I did so but now there is no way to actually pay for the Robux from his account. I have temporarily turned off require permission for purchases and still there is no option to use the money from his account. If paying from his account is not possible I need a refund for the money transferred to his Microsoft account

Unable to use credit in Microsoft Family Account to buy Robux

My son sent an in-game request to purchase $9.99 in Robux for PC. I went to our Microsoft Family account and added $10 to his account so he could complete the purchase. He now has $10.50 in his Microsoft Account. He is having trouble using that $10.50
in the account to pay for/buy the Robux. He's tried re-sending the request for the in-game purchase and whenever I click 'Allow' on that request, it tells me "For this item, you’ll need to add money to your child’s Microsoft
account so they can buy it in the game. We’re working on a way to make this a seamless experience in the future." My only option from there is to click on a button to 'Add Money' to his account. There's already clearly $10.50 there - I'm not going
to add more and he's only asking for $9.99. We've tried turning off the 'needs organizer approval to buy things,' but it still doesn't work. We're both frustrated.

Why can't kids pull from their microsoft allowance to buy Robux? I would like for my daughter to pull from her Microsoft account allowance under the Microsoft Family account. I posted this elsewhere, but it was in the wrong category. I'm an older mom
