Windows 10: Cannot drag/drop or copy/paste fonts in Windows 11 Pro Version 22H2

I have fonts that I need to install on my Windows 11 machine. The instructions on Microsoft.com say you can drag and drop fonts to C:\Windows\Fonts folder or in Settings > Personalization > Fonts. When I try to drag and drop or copy and paste a True Type font, my version of Windows will not allow me to do so. Also, many instructions say you can select all the fonts, right click and select INSTALL. When I do this, there is no INSTALL option, just OPEN, CUT, COPY, DELETE, PROPERTIES.I can open each font TrueType file and once the file opens, I can select INSTALL, but I have too many to

Drag&Drop on TaskBar not working (Windows 11 22H2 22621.1105)

Unfortunately this is by design for Windows 11. You can drag from File explorer into the taskbar.

The only drag and drop that works in the latest Windows 11 version is if you right click an app from the All Apps list, and drag it and drop it on desktop or taskbar. That's for apps only, and only when you find the app via Start > All apps list.

Sorry. You can always use the Feedback hub (Windows + F) to request this as a feature.

 

Windows 11 22h2 drag&drop between tabs is not working

I have 2 old computers (with unsupported hardware and Windows 11 on them) where the drag and drop between tabs is working well. Clearly, there's a bug with Windows 11 on my laptop (with supported hardware!).

the steps you suggested didn't work for me but, when pressing the escape key it somehow expanded the drive and by using drag and drop to the single file in the list worked.

In the past I could drag and drop multiple folders onto the drive on the network computer(s). Doing it on individual folders will take far too long and time consuming and is not an option.

Microsoft should be able to identify what is blocking it and issue a fix.

My machine is multi boot so tomorrow I will try with Windows 7.
