    Cannot enter my PIN and forgot my password


    Hey everyoneSo I was using my ASUS laptop as usual, didn’t download anything or do anything out of the ordinary but it was getting a little slow so I restarted itAnd when it turned back on it asked me for my password and I don’t remember it and it’s not written down anywhereI only know my PIN but there’s no option to use itI cannot log in at all

    Is it possible not to enter the password/PIN at Window startups?

    You may have missed a step. After the un-check, click apply, then the next screen will ask for the Pasword twice. Enter and OK. Then OK again. That should do it.

    How to SWITCH login method from PIN to password

    If you get to step #5 and find that there is no option to remove the pin, this worked for me:

    • Click "I forgot my PIN"
    • Enter your account password where prompted
    • When prompted to create a new PIN, click "Cancel"

    This removed the existing PIN and went back to using the account password to log in and unlock the lock screen.
