Windows 10: Cannot find camera error code 0xA00F4244

I am receiving a camera error stating that no camera is attached. I have tried every fix I recommended in the trends but the builtin/ integrated camera is not listed in device manager not under Imaging devices or Sound,video and game controller.


I've tried system resets etc, nothing has worked.


The last time my camera was used was in March, 2020. There was a windows update in April 2020 and my camera is no longer available.

Compatibility could be one of the probable reasons why you have this error. What I can suggest is for you try and run the hardware troubleshooter. You can follow the steps below:

• Click the magnifying glass icon beside the Windows start menu.
• Type Troubleshooting.
• Select Hardware and Sound.
• Click Hardware and Devices from the options list.
• Click Next to run the Hardware and Device Troubleshooter.

I am also getting an error code 0xA00F4244 and the suggestions do not help, I have no camera listed under device manager under sound, video, and game controllers anymore. Videochat via facebook no longer work and either does the Camera app. I have an MSI
GE272 2QD apache Pro on windows 10 home, version 1709. Please address this problem. Thanks.
