Windows 10: Cannot find DocFolderPaths in Windows 10

Hi all,


After completely uninstalling the GOG version of Simcity 4 on my machine, I've found that everything in my documents folder has disappeared completely. I made some new items in documents and tried uninstalling Simcity 4 again the same way, and same result: the documents folder is empty.


After looking through some articles on the web, I decided to try and fix the issue through regedit. However, when I try to find DocFolderPaths, the key isn't showing up at all. Is there any way I can still recover the missing items? Or are they all completely lost? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
