Windows 10: Cannot Find Program to Uninstall

Hello,

I tried to install Encyclopedia Britannica from a DVD, but it appeared to stall, so I stopped the installation. When I tried to reinstall it, a message popped up and said it could not continue with the installation until I removed the previous installation, which I had thought was canceled. I found Britannica in Programs in the Control Panel, uninstalled it, restarted my laptop, and then tried to reinstall the DVD, but the same message popped up. I went back and looked to see if Britannica was still in Programs, but it's not; however, it is in the App list in Start. When I press the app nothing shows up, and I assume it's because I uninstalled it. I have now tried repeatedly to reinstall Britannica but the same message keeps popping up saying it's still installed. I'm not sure what that means, but, perhaps, something is installed somewhere under a different name, and I can't find it. BTW, I want to install Britannica in the suggested folder/file, though I do realize if I chose another place to install it, it may install -- maybe. I actually am now more focused on uninstalling Britannica than reinstalling it, but I can't figure out how to do it because it's not in the program list, or for that matter anywhere on my PC that I can see except in the App list.

Does anyone have a suggestion.

- Did you try un-installing the program from programs and features?

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Repairing or removing programs

To uninstall programs, go to Settings.

• On the Start menu, then select Settings.
• Select System > Apps & features.
• Select the program, then select Uninstall. Some apps that are built in to Windows can’t be uninstalled.
  
• Follow the directions on the screen.

If you are still unable to uninstall the program, follow the steps below.

• In Search, enter Control Panel and select Control Panel.
• Select Programs > Programs and Features, then select the program.
• Select the program, then select Uninstall. Some apps that are built in to Windows can’t be uninstalled.
  
• Follow the directions on the screen.

How do you uninstall chipset drivers?

I'm installing a new mobo so I need to uninstall the intel 865g drivers to make way for the P35 drivers.

Can't find any uninstall options in add/remove programs and intel chipset inst listed in driver cleaner.

Any suggestions? *Confused

 

How to uninstall corrupt program (print master)
