    Cannot install Hyper-V Softwares and Screen flickering issue when I turn on the computer.


    Before a month, I uninstalled docker and VMware. I didn't uninstall VMware properly. I deleted some files manually and uninstalled the remaining via the control panel. After doing this, I faced a weird screen flickering issue whenever I turn on the system. Restarting the System will fix the problem. I got frustrated and stopped shutting down the system and simply left it on sleep.

    After trying to find what is causing the issue. Some said Hyper-V causes screen flickering issue. So, I deleted all of the Hyper-V components from my system. Including the ones in Device Manager. But, I didn't face Screen Flickering issue due to Hyper-V.

    Yesterday, I tried to install Android Emulators and VMware which requires Hyper-V. When I first tried to install. It showed a Hyper-V error. I followed the fix from their website (Bluestacks). I checked my BIOS, enabled Hyper-V on my Windows 10. Still, the problem didn't get solved.

    Then, I went to my device manager and checked the drivers. The Hyper-V drivers were installed automatically by the OS I suppose. That's when I found a warning near Hyper-V Virtual Switch Extension Adapter. I don't know what is causing the issue. I even deleted the registry files created by Docker and VMware. Can someone tell me what is going on with my system? The screen flickering issue is not solved yet.

    Screen flickers at startup after eabling Hyper-V

    Hi all,

    I bought a new HP pavilion i7 pc and upgraded from windows home to windows pro.

    When I enable Hyper-V, the screen flickers at startup only and I have to power off then power on then PC works with no issues.

    This happens daily when I power on the device for the first time in the morning. I am sure it's related to Hyper-V because when I disable it, this stops happening.

    Any suggestion what might be wrong as I need to use Hyper-V to work on Xamarin.

    Ubuntu 16 on Hyper v screen flicker and other problems

    I installed ubuntu 16 64bit on windows 10 hyper-v. I allocated 2gb ram and 10gb HDD space which is enough for a plain ubuntu installation.

    The installation completed successfully. But I do not see the unity sidebar launcher.

    There is a considerable lag when I move the mouse cursor and the screen seems to be flickering as shown in the gif. Notice the folder in the gif flicker. Note that the flicker is not due to the fact that this is a gif.

    I tried using virtual box and it worked fine but as I am using Hyper-v with other development software I am unable to run VirtuaBox alongside Hyper-v.

    Kindly suggest how can I run ubuntu on windows 10.
