Windows 10: Cannot install iTunes in Windows 10

Something happened after the last major windows update and it effected itunes and other apple windows programs.


When I attempt to reinstall iTunes, after running through the installation routine, I get an error message, "The older version of Apple Software Update cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group."


After doing all of the following fixes windows still thinks there is a previous version of iTunes installed.


1. I reset to the previous install and did a system restore.


2. I then went to regedit and removed all reference to apple or iTunes. I had previously removed ALL apple programs in the control pannel and/or app settings. When I attempted to install iTunes through the MS store the only option at the time I get the following error message, "iTunes could not remove your previous installation. Please remove using Programs and features in the control panel. iTunes isn't listed in programs and features.


3. Today I updated windows, KB4532695 and KB4534132


BTW, I first posted this issue on 11/3/19 and Greg Carmack - Windows MVP 2010-20 responded and recommended the following fixes. I read and implementd all of them and nothing worked. Greg did not respond to my follow-up requests.

iTunes installation + Other installation that have occured

It seems that there's a problem with that particular link. Anyhow, here are some steps that you can try and see if it resolves the issue:

• Disable your third-party antivirus.
• Install iTunes as administrator.
• Update your Windows.
• Restart your PC.
• Visit Apple forums to check for suggestions.

Update us with the results of these steps.

Follow these steps:

• Un-installing all Apple related components through the 'Uninstall or change a program' utility in the Windows control panel.
• Removing remnants from the 'Program Files' folder.
• Clearing out the temporary folders.
• Restarting the computer and reinstalling.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
