Windows 10: Cannot Install Update 1903

It fails at 60% complete every time, telling me

"Windows could not configure one or more system components. To install windows, restart the computer and then restart the installation."


Thus far, I have attempted to install it:

1) As prompted by the XBox Gamepass for Windows installer

2) Directly through Windows Update

3) With a USB and then a CD created using the Media Creation Tool

4) Using the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant


I have also tried clearing out my software distribution folder and running the Windows Update repair tool. If anyone has any recommendations I am all ears.

Known issues for Windows 10 May 2019 Update version 1903


As far as Wifi any chance it is Qualcom inside USB adapter, if Qualcom then yes known issue.


I might create another user (Local) and when if try again see if this issue occurs on both users.

Would also suggest you run the first 5 steps in this tutorial to see if you have any corruption with current build.

Insurgency wont install and run for me....

I have played and have fully updated CS and Half life 2....
I am using the newest client and installed the SDK.

I am completely blown away, if i click the desktop icon it starts the sdk and then closes, and it doesn't show up in my game list...

First mod attempt install here, followed the directions step by step on the mods website...

Any ideas?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
