Windows 10: Cannot Login into Secure Sites

I have a laptop with Windows 10 pre-installed in it. Everything i working fine except when i try to login into any secure site like my bank account or some government sites, it shows an error of invalid credentials. The login details are absolutely correct and the can be logged in from other devices with the same username/password. I have tried this on multiple browsers and even in incognito mode(s), still no luck.

Microsoft Edge TLS Security


After trying everything (not a lot of steps) listed in the Microsoft Edge support site, I did a wider search and found this very simple youtube video that fixed it immediately:

For those who prefer not to click links the steps are simple:

1. Click in the Cortana search bar next to the Win 10 Start button

2. Type internet options

3. Select internet options (control panel) from the list

4. Click on the advanced tab

5. Scroll down to the security section

6. Make sure the following are all clicked:
Use SSL 3.0
Use TLS 1.0
Use TLS 1.1
Use TLS 1.2

7. Click apply

8. Refresh the page that was giving the error and it should now connect.

Hope this helps, it was a 30 second fix after hours of pounding my head against the error with the Support site suggestions.

 

Site not secure

We would suggest following the steps below for us to check if the issue that you're experiencing is related to the browser's certificate:

• Open your Internet Explorer and click the gear
  icon on the upper right side of the page.
• Select Internet Options and click the Advanced
  tab.
• Under Settings, look for Security.
• Remove the check marks on Check for publisher's certificate revocation,
  Check for server certificate revocation and Check for signatures on downloaded programs.
• Click Apply.
• Click OK.

Unable to login into the blogger site.

Before assisting further, I would like to ask you few questions:

• Which browser are you using to access the blogging website (Edge, Internet explorer or other browsers)?
• Are you not able to login into other websites on the browser?
• Did you check if the login is permitted in another browser?

I suggest you to check if you are able to login and access the blogger site on other browsers. If the issue does not persists, check if you are able to access other websites on the browser you are unable to login to the blogger site.
