Windows 10: Cannot print email in Edge

I have hp printer. Everything else prints; scan, Word, internet site material. But printing directly from email does not work and error message indicates it has to do with a windows update (according to hp tech who looked it up). It appears that all the updates have been done but who knows???

I suggest you to make sure that you made the following settings and check if you are able to print.

Step 1:

  Open MS Edge and click on more actions [...]
  
• 
  Click on Settings and select
  Print.
  
• 
  Choose your printer from the list and check if you are able to print.
  

Step 2:

• 
  Press Windows key and type
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on view by and select large icons.
  
• 
  Open Devices and printers.
  
• 
  Right click on your printer and select set a default printer.

Unable to print outlook.com emails in Windows 10 with Microsoft Edge

To assist you further could you please confirm a couple of things:

• Have you tried to check if you're able to print the email by accessing Outlook.com
  through a different Web Browser?
• Is the issue specific to Outlook.com Emails?
• Are you trying to print a Password Protected Email?
• Since when are you facing this issue?

To isolate the issue I suggest you to follow the steps below to check if you are able to print from Internet Explorer.

To open the webpage in Internet Explorer:

• Open Microsoft Edge.
• Click on the three dots on the right hand top corner and select Open with Internet Explorer.

Microsoft Edge "Print Email" not working

I am not sure we are on the same page.

Let me restate my problem. While using Microsoft Edge browser and Outlook.com, I cannot print emails via the [...] located on the Outlook.com bar. Right clicking the [...] on the Outlook.com bar presents options, one of which is PRINT. when selecting this
option I get a blank "Outlook.com Print Message - Microsoft Edge" window.

Note - when I utilize the "Open in Internet Explorer" option located on the Edge Browser [...] I am able to print this email by then utilizing the same [...] option on the Outlook.com bar that did not work with Outlook in the Edge browser.

Utilizing CTL P allows printing of the blank screen mentioned above - the printed page has
PRINT in the upper left corner of the page and
CLOSE in the upper right corner and the rest of the page is blank.

Looking at the response below, Step 2 speaks of setting the correct default printer. I do have the correct default printer set. I have absolutely no problem printing anything else - other than emails when using the Edge Browser with Outlook.

Step 1 asks me to access settings via [...]. Accessing this on the Edge Browser bar, I see the option "Settings" at the very bottom of the drop down list. If I select this "Settings" there is no print option.

Also note - selecting [...] on the Edge Browser bar presents a drop down list that includes (besides Settings) a print option. This print option works, but produces a browser screen print rather than an email print.

In summary - There are two places where [...] presents options - one is on the Outlook bar and the other is on the Edge Browser bar. My problem is utilizing the Print option when using the [...] located on the Outlook bar. Also note - the problem goes
away when opening outlook with Internet Explorer. I would attach a screen snapshot to make this clearer, but do not see an option that permits me to do so.
