Windows 10: Cannot print jpg files to virtual printer driver from Snip & Sketch tool.

We have upgraded our Windows 10 PC from 19042.685 version to 20H2 19042.746 version.

After this upgrade, we have opened a jpg file with Snip & Sketch tool, and printed to our virtual printer driver.

Snip & Sketch tool is not showing the error message "Failed to print", and printing is not happening.

Note: In the previous version 19042.685, the same issue was not happening.

We have searched the Release notes of the above Windows update “19042.746” on the Internet.
But, we did not observe the any information from the release notes related to the above issue.

If anyone has come across similar issues as mentioned above, kindly share your knowledge / workarounds / inputs on the below points:
a How you have fixed those issues related to printing from Snip & Sketch tool, or
b Which Windows update exactly causes the above printing issues / error messages.

Snipping tool double printing ?

It has always been better to Paste in to another Application which has better printing options.

The Snipping Tool only has your Printer options. May not include what you need, like fit to page.

The new "Snip & Sketch" tool is replacing the Snipping Tool, not much better with Printing options, but there is a preview.

I use IrfanView or Paint.NET either of which are better Image Applications for printing what you want.

 

Snip & Sketch

It's the Snipping Tool that's being phased out, not Snip & Sketch. FWIW, I just used the latter tool and was able to paste the snip into a Word (Office 365) document. There was a point in the past when for reasons unknown, opening Word would clear the
clipboard. If you're using an older version, you might want to try opening the document first, before taking a screenshot.

If you prefer to use Snipping Tool, all you have to do (as I suggested earlier) is open the Start Menu and type snip.

 

October Update Snip & Sketch Eraser Tool

You're wasting your time complaining about it (or offering suggestions) here. Use the Feedback Hub, which you can find in the list of apps on the Start menu.
