Windows 10: Cannot redirect Documents folder

I have a new Windows 11 installed PC. The Documents folder is automatically mapped to a OneDrive folder. I am now trying to map my Documents folder to another folder on my D: drive where all the stuff from my old PC are, but it won't do it with a cryptic message: "Can't move the folder because there is a folder in the same location that can't be redirected. Access is denied." What does this even mean? What is the folder? Is it one on the destination location?I created a folder D:\X and tried to relocate to this empty folder, but there is still the same error message.How do I get it to work?

I suggest you to Restore to Default the folders and document settings and see if it helps.

Step 1:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Download folder.
• Right click on the Download Folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

Step 2:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Documents folder.
• Right click on the Document folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

After performing above steps change the settings as you required and check if it helps.

Folder Redirection Policy hiding Documents

My folder redirection policy was redirecting Documents to 10.200.0.5, after changing policy location to 10.200.0.10, all the documents that were offline disappeared. How do i resolve this issue?

Documents Folder redirection changes using GPO or regedit

Hi, we have the below requirement :
Current environment, Document Folder is redirected to network share using Folder redirection GPO.
We want to get rid of Network share for Documents and redirect or sync documents folder to OneDrive for business of users.
What should be the best approach?
Please note that we have one redirection policy in which we have redirection settings for AppData roaming, Desktops, Favorites and Documents. We will redirect AppData roaming, Desktops, Favorites to another Network share but for documents, we need redirection or sync to OneDrive
