Cannot save the time limit "Max Scheduled" when setting time limits

I am trying to setup time limits for my son. I set a schedule and chose the time limit "Max Scheduled". It is not saving this value no matter what I try. It is logging him off in the middle of the day and not allowing him to stay on.

It will save a time value such as 12 hours but not "Max Scheduled." If I delete the schedule it will set it to "Blocked" and will only allow a time value in hours when trying to setup the schedule again.

The activity is erroneously reporting that he has used 14 hours of screen time today which is not the case. He has not been awake that long.

    :)

Family Time - Can I extend time limits without the email?

    Hello,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

To address your query, kindly help us with the following questions:

    1. What exactly do you mean by saying ‘extend screen time in different increments’?
    2. Are you looking for extending the schedule time on child’s account without receiving an email?

To set screen time limits for your child on Windows 10 device, you may create a schedule and allow the access. By doing that, you can know how much time your child spend with their devices each day.
If you want to give them the full amount of time you’ve scheduled, select
    Max
scheduled. However, I would like to let you know that time limit can only be extended through email.

For example, if you’ve allowed screen time from 8 am to 8 pm, they could use their devices that entire time.

To know more on this, you may refer to the following article:

Kindly get back to us with the results, we are looking into this for you and we will be glad to assist you if the issue persists.

Cannot save the time limit "Max Scheduled" when setting time limits

Parental Controls: Child PC Screen Time limits reset to "Max Scheduled" & allowed window resets to 24 hours/day

HI thanks for this suggestion. Sadly, I found that one a few months ago. Tried it at the time and it didn't work either Cannot save the time limit "Max Scheduled" when setting time limits :(

To answer your other question about access to my son's PC:

    • For the test you suggested above (the 15 minutes etc.) I was away from the PC and he was using it. So it's possible he's somehow resetting the limits, BUT ..
    • A few days ago I sat at his PC and did the following test:
      • Logged into his account - checked and no limits
      • Switched to my account, set the limits there
      • Switched to his account - checked and limits working
      • Switched to my account, and after about 10-15 minutes the limits had reset
      • Switched to his account - no limits
      • The whole time I was at the PC and he was nearby but not at the PC so couldn't have adjusted the limits
