Windows 10: Cannot send or receive messages with Windows Live mail

    Cannot send or receive messages with Windows Live mail


    I am using Window Live Mail 2011 with 2 different email account. For one of the accounts, I can no longer send or receive emails. I get the following reject message...


    Unable to send or receive messages for the Gmail (rrancourt123) account. Header download for the 'Inbox' folder did not complete. The IMAP server has issued an unrecognized greeting.

    Windows Live Auto Send/Receive?

    I'm running Moto Q9h, WM 6.0, no xpress mail, yes WM Outlook. I set up a Windows Live (@live.com) email account and I can send messages, receive messages, and manually send/receive. All good. However, I do not get notified when a new message is sent.

    There's not much to configure with Windows Live in WM Outlook. Are there known problems? Am I missing a step -- just need to get this auto-checking-for-new-mail working.

    Windows Live Mail 2012 refuses to send emails, claims they're spam


    My wife uses Windows Live Mail 2012 and says it refuses to send emails, claiming they're spam. This is even replying to someone who is in her contacts list. I have run several different virus checks and nothing comes up. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. TIA

    Using Windows Live Mail whenever I leave home can receive but cannot send e-mails...how do I fix this? Charter.net account...
