Windows 10: Cannot send yahoo email from Windows 10 mail app

Outgoing messages get hung up in Outbox on Windows 10 mail app. Have deleted and reinstalled yahoo numerous times. Web-based yahoo works fine, works fine from my iPhone...it's just Win 10. What's the correct outbox server setting?

Try using a secure connection

If your eMail client has Requires authentication, select it
Most servers use Clear text authentication - do not change that unless your provider gave you instructions to set it up.

 

Changed how the TPU forums send email

ok so the problem is that yahoo penalizes all new IPs that suddenly show up and send out a big volume of "spam". we moved the email server to another box -> new ip, yahoo sees new ip, blocks a large percentage of mail. this violates everything from the standards, but yahoo can get away with it. i emailed them requesting a white list but such things take a while

 

Windows 10 Mail app can't send emails

I am on a local ISP (mail.naples.net) that uses POP3 and would like to use the Windows 10 mail client. I can receive emails no problem but am not able to send. It just stays in OUTBOX. The only error message I can find is 'attention required' in the accounts tab when I go there. Both my incoming and outgoing servers address are "mail.naples.net" My yahoo account with this client works fine. Your suggestions and help appreciated.
